2017 ‘Miss Torimba’ is Miss Lucy Baker!

Congratulations also to Emma Jensen and Candyce Jensen becoming the Princesses of Torimba Festival 2017.

A lovely afternoon spent at the Mountain institute in Ravenshoe on Saturday the 2nd of September 2017, were we gathered for this years judging of the Miss/Master Title!

2017 participants consisted of only three young girls this year with no young boys participating unfortunately. The Torimba Committee commenced the event and it went along nicely with the judges having a very hard time picking, who would take out the title.

The three young girls were all interviewed by the judges and they decided that one young lady would take the (Miss Torimba) title, whilst the other young ladies would have a role too in this year’s events as (Princesses of Torimba Festival). Congratulations to all three young ladies and their families for taking part in this year event, we are looking forward to seeing you amongst the festivities of Torimba 2017.

The day also gave the opportunity for the Queen Entrants to showcase some of the lovely clothing range from ‘Soul Needs’ in Ravenshoe, thanks to Steph Skennar for your contribution to the day, with the girls wearing some lovely garments for the guest to view.

There was a lucky door prize which was won by June Mackay. Congratulations on winning the adventure to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures.

Thanks also to the Committee Members for supplying the afternoon Tea, it was delicious!

Torimba Committee would like to thank the sponsors for the prizes and displays during the days event, without your kind generosity and donations, days like these wouldn’t happen, so it’s very much appreciated!

There is still time to donate, sponsor, decorate your Business or register for a stall position before the Mardi Gras Parade on the 14th of October 2017!!!! Grab your nomination or sponsor forms off the website here or at the Ravenshoe Newsagency, located in the blue folder near the front entrance.
