Grand Opening of the Festival of the Forest Exhibition

Join us outside Festival Hall at 11.30am for a BBQ snag and enjoy our blacksmith display as you wait for the Festival doors to be thrown open to the public to launch the festival. Hand forged pieces available for purchase.
At 1pm – Winners of this year’s Decorated Premises will be announced after the judges have completed their walk though town to see which premises has best illustrated this year’s theme, “When I Grow Up”…before the official start of the Festival of the Forest.
Ravenshoe welcomes you to walk through one of Australia’s oldest woodworking exhibitions. A portion of these beautiful works will be available for sale, offering you the opportunity to take something special with you. Every year we are amazed by the breadth and depth of skills in the creative submissions from novices, experts and artisans.
Entry is free and we encourage everyone to buy a raffle ticket on the way in to go in the wonderful woodwork raffle of one stand out piece each year!
Ravenshoe Timber Festival of the Forest is an exhibit of unique and exquisite works of woodwork that celebrate our local artists and beautiful timber during the first 2 weeks of October annually.
